§ 3 · Claims
How a hospital claim works.
Four steps from admission to the final bill. With a guarantee letter you pay no deposit for covered treatment, and I follow it up so your family does not have to.
3.1
Message me before admission
Send your IC and the hospital's name. I check the policy is in force and tell you what is covered before you sign anything.
3.2
Show the medical card at the counter
The hospital asks the insurer for a guarantee letter, usually within a few hours. With it, you pay no deposit for covered treatment.
3.3
I follow up while you rest
If the letter is slow or partial, I chase it with the claims team. Your family has one number to call: mine.
3.4
Discharge and the final bill
Covered items go straight to the insurer. You pay only the deductible and anything excluded, and I explain each line.

Keep these, always
- Itemised hospital bill and receipts
- Discharge summary from the doctor
- Your IC and the medical card
- For critical illness: the specialist's report and test results
- For a death claim: the death certificate, the policy, and the nominee's IC
