What each plan pays.

Six kinds of cover from AIA and AIA PUBLIC Takaful, in the order most families need them. Costs are indicative; the real figure depends on your age, health and smoking.

Medical card

For
Everyone, first. Employer cover ends when the job does.
Pays
Hospital bills directly: room, surgery, specialist, medicine, through a guarantee letter at admission.

About RM 150 – 300 a month at 30, more with age

Critical illness

For
Anyone whose household needs their income.
Pays
A lump sum on diagnosis of a covered illness, to spend on anything: rent, a caregiver, time off.

Life & family income

For
Parents with young children or a mortgage.
Pays
A sum to your nominee if you die or become totally disabled, sized to clear debts and replace income.

From about RM 80 a month for RM 500,000 term cover at 30

Family takaful

For
Muslim families who want Shariah-compliant cover.
Pays
Medical, critical illness and death benefits, run on a shared-risk fund by AIA PUBLIC Takaful.
